A Midsummer Night's Dream

CYTC was established in 1984, and is widely regarded as one of the premier youth performance groups in the U.K. Since our beginning, we have worked with over 4,000 young people on over 85 touring productions resulting in over 500 performances.

In 2020, David Hunter, CYTC’s Artistic Director and Jackie Moule, Design Director were awarded the Awen Medal by the Cornish Gorsedh for their work with the company. The medal citation reads:

“They have created a crucible of Cornish creative talent. The list of past participants reads like a who’s who of the Cornish creative scene. Their work is all about shared experience, confidence, fun and harnessing the incredible energies of young people here in Cornwall.”
